Welcome to the Canadian Karting League (CKL) website. The CKL is an ASN Canada FIA sanctioned arrive-and-drive karting league. Arrive-and-drive karting is the best place to get started in karting because the CKL provides its members with everything they need to get started.
CKL provides its members with race prepared karts (not concession karts), safety equipment, trained mechanics and qualified driving/racing instructors. "Our number one concern is the safety of our members, the racing comes second." CKL owner Russ Bond says.
For 2011, the CKL offers racing leagues at two Toronto area facilities. The CKL "North" league is hosted by the Innisfil Indy, and the new CKL "South" League is hosted at Centennial Park.
"I invite you to see the CKL in action first hand by simply clicking on the Motoringtv.com video link at the left of the home page," Bond advises. "That will give you a good idea on how effective our program is."
Karting experience is not necessary to be able to join the CKL. In fact, in 2010, the CKL introduced over 100 new members to the sport of karting, and now with two locations, membership is expected to grow in 2011.
"We saw tremendous growth in 2010, and we expect even more members in 2011," Bond said. "We have classes that suit anyone from 8 years old and up. I personally invite anyone who would like to become a member of the CKL to contact me either by the membership form or by calling me at the contact number above and I"ll be happy to answer any questions they have about the CKL."
