CKL Lease kart program for 2011

The CKL will provide you a lease kart that is yours for the CKL lease kart series. Our intention right now is to run two series in 2011. One that runs from May-July 30, and a second one that runs Aug-Oct 2010. There are only 10 spots available in Cadet, 10 in Junior, 10 in Senior/Masters for each series. We will only run the second series once the first is sold out.

No lease kart is allowed to leave the facility during the course of the year. All engines will be unrestricted 6.5 Honda. There will be a set weight for each class (driver and kart combined weight). Weight will be set based on the average weight of series drivers. There will be only one gear ratio allowed. We are planning on running the lease kart series on Saturday afternoons. Should Innisfil install lights, we would consider some weekday races.

Lease karts classes run in a separate event from Arrive and Drive League.

Drivers are allowed to make the following changes to their personal lease karts:

• Ride height
• Front track
• Rear track
• Seat position
• Steering wheel position

The CKL provides the following for each lease kart driver:
One fully prepared complete racing kart. Technical setup for each driver to his/her kart. This includes tailoring the setup of each kart to each driver. Routine maintenance and mechanical wear service parts. It also includes tires, fuel and one set of body work. We also provide mechanical support during practices and racing, along with driver training. We also provide storage of the kart during the season.

The driver is responsible for: Crash damage parts and replacement labour. Lead for weight ballast

Awards:
All Lease Kart drivers 15 years of age and older qualify for consideration to be the Franczak sponsored fully funded FV1200 driver in 2012. In addition, there will be a awards for the top three in each class at the 2011 CKL Banquet.

Costing: $1995
The CKL Lease is for 10 races of a 12 race schedule -- best 10 races count for championship. This cost includes everything above that the CKL provides. It also includes 10 entry fees.

Additional notes:
Members wishing to purchase a new or used kart can do so and still join the lease kart series. There is a $300 credit if you bring your own kart. Your kart falls under the same terms and conditions as one of our lease karts.

Practice:
You are able to practice with your lease kart anytime you'd like. The karts will be in a separate container so you can get at them at any time. Practice fees are the same as usual in the CKL.

The CKL will be begin filling slots immediately for the 2011 Lease Kart series. A $200 deposit is required to hold your spot, then we are happy to arrange payment terms once you have picked out your kart.
