KARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR CASUAL RENTAL

IT IS A COMPETITIVE KART RACING PROGRAM

Participants are required to:

  • Become a member of our Arrive & Drive club
  • Pay a membership fee and track use fee
  • Receive classroom training
  • Receive on-track training
  • Acquire and wear special personal safety equipment
  • Learn and follow all rules and regulations
  • Obey program officials at all times

SUNSET COMING TOGETHER...

It has been a long week, and now things are coming together. All the tires have been moved to Sunset Speedway - our new home - and we are ready to bolt them together and start racing - hopefully next week.

Here is what we are doing this weekend, and yes, anyone who wants to come and help out is welcome.

SATURDAY, MAY 12

We will be at Sunset bolting the tire walls together from 9am - 1pm. We have everything we need to get most of this done on Saturday. That being said, if you'd like to come out and help, if you have 19mm wrench and or ratchet and socket it would be a big help. Also, some extra cordless drills would be good.

We have to wrap up by 1pm so the cars can move in for the night's racing. For anyone that does come out and help, if you want to stay for the races, I will buy you a ticket... should be a good night, Ontario Pro Challenge is there that night along with all the other classes.

Also, on Saturday we will have a display booth handing out CKL promotional material. We could use some of our drivers - in suits - to help hand out flyers... if you like. If you want to come, just let me know, we will get you in the track.

SUNDAY, MAY 13

First, Happy Mother's Day, in your honour, we ask all you moms out there come and bolt tires together while we watch!... JUST KIDDING... I hope you all have a good day...

We will be at the track again bolting tires and getting ready for ASN inspection. We expect to have the tires done by Sunday night. Sunday, the track has Super Late Model practice, so there should be some great cars to watch also.

We will start at 10am on Sunday and go until about 2pm or so.

MONDAY, MAY 14,

This could be the BIG day. Hopefully our track will be approved and we will be ready to start practice on Tuesday.

TUESDAY, MAY 15.

I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY INVITE ALL MEMBERS TO SEE OUR NEW HOME - SUNSET SPEEDWAY. THE TRACK WILL BE SET UP AND YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME BY AND SEE OUR NEW HOME. NOW, IF THE TRACK HAS BEEN APPROVED, WE WILL HAVE INITIAL PRACTICE ON TUESDAY, BUT IF NOT, WE CAN JUST LOOK AND SADLY WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR APPROVAL.

I EXPECT THE APPROVAL ON EITHER MONDAY OR TUESDAY, SO HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE READY TO GO NEXT WEEK.

Finally, thanks for all the calls and emails of support and offering help, it is very much appreciated. I am sure you will all love our new home. The track is awesome, it's a fantastic place to race, and we can just do our own thing there and have fun racing.
